Renunciation

You have to have some thing to renounce it.
You can not renounce some thing with out having it.

If a rich lady does not wear ornaments people say she’s so simple,
If a poor lady does not then she does not have them so she does not wear them :-)
No one will believe that she’s simple.

Budhdha renounced the world because he had seen the life in a palace.
That’s why it was called renunciation.

I am just thinking why is this so,
if I don't try to have some thing, is it not a renunciation?

"ಇದ್ದದ್ದನ್ನು ತ್ಯಜಿಸುವುದು ತ್ಯಾಗ,
ಇಲ್ಲದ್ದನ್ನು ಬಯಸದೆ ಇರುವುದು ತ್ಯಾಗವೇ
ಅದು ಬಯಕೆಗಳ ತ್ಯಾಗ!"
