Duty and Love

Local buses or City buses teach you a lot in life.

I realized one such thing when traveling in a city bus.I was sitting in the first seat of the the bus and there was one more seat which was opposite to that. After one stop a lady got into the bus with 2 children. She was well dressed and good looking also.
I was just observing the children. They were not dressed as well as their mother (I'm sure she was their mother, because they were addressing her so). I was comparing the girl with her mother. To my surprise she was not even wearing chappal!, her mother had some jewelry and expensive watch. At that moment I realized the difference between doing the duty of a parent and doing it with 'love'.

I didn't know which is my mother's favorite color until I started earning. I had never seen her buying any thing for her self. If my 'Amma'had just thought of her duty, I wouldn't have studied in a Convent School, I wouldn't have got into Engineering and most important I wouldn't have been able to think at all.

My 'Amma' had not performed her duty, she had loved us. She had given all the materialistic things along with a space to think.

I am grateful to her for that.
