To love or to be loved is a demanding task !

I am just pondering over the above statement.
Is it true? It must be because I made it.:-)

You don’t be or rather you can not be your self when you love.
Starting from parents every one who loves wants you to match their own expectations.

They do accept your failures in meeting their expectations but certainly you are bearing some body’s expectations always. Be it your parent’s, Sibling’s, Friends or Spouse’s or even your co-worker’s!

I was just mulling over, why do we need to live with the burden of expectations always?
Either some body has expectation from us or vice versa.

Leave a side stranger who doesn’t care about our reactions, why can’t we spare at least the people we love? Why can’t we just love a person? Ah! Every thing boils down one basic question, can we love some one with out expecting any thing in return, more so, can the love exist if there no expectation? I seriously wish it could and also I want to experience that. Certainly I want to be loved like that not vice versa (I know I am selfish :-) )

These thoughts keep haunting all of us and all of us either decide not to expect or stop loving it self. Most of us chose the second one. But I feel the ultimate truth is, unless you have renounced the world you have to love to keep living and one facet of love is to wish, to expect!

“Tum se to kuch na chaaha,
Ab tumhe dekh ne ke bhi khquaish na rakhein
Yeh hum se hone se raha”

“pyaar jo kar the hain aap se
Ummed kaise chod de?
Yeh kambakat kismata ka
Rukh kaise mod de?”

“Sajaa ye the aap ke li ye
Kit ne saare armaan,
Khwaab dekh ne keliye
Kam pad gaya aasmaan!”

“Kuch na chaaha Meera ne Kaanha se’
Yeh kehte suna hain logon ko,
Par maante hain hum ki,
Ki Kisan ko dekh ne kee Ummed use bhi thi,
Aur Nand Laal ko chahna us ki zindagi bhi thi”

“Umeedon ke dher par bhaitkar hum,
Khwaab dekhte the mohabbat ka,
Ab jaake pata chala,
Ishq hota hain sab kuch choot ne ke baad”
